♦Zenkyo 32nd Regular congress― Zenkyo invited SNES, the Secondary School Teachers’ Union in France
Zenkyo convened the 32nd regular congress on February 14 and 15 in Tokyo. The percentage of female delegates who participated in the congress reached 25 percent and many young delegates led the discussion. After active participation in the debate over two days, delegates adopted 16 resolutions including ones on its action policy in 2015 to 16 and on its 3-year organizing plan. The Congress elected executive board members for 2015 -2016.
In this Congress, Zenkyo invited two delegates from SNES of France; Mr.Roland Hubert, Secretary General, and Ms. Odile Cordelier, Officer of International Affairs. Before attending the Congress, they visited Ina Gakuen High School in Saitama and Kouriyama Minam Junior High School in Nara as a part of exchange. They observed school facilities, had a discussion with teachers, and participated in the actual lessons. During the congress they listened to the active discussion attentively. They also had a talk with Ms.Kimie Hatano, a member of the House of Representative from Japanese Communist Party and Ms.Kimiyo Kasai, President of New Japan Women’s Association.
With Zenkyo officials they discussed the difference in educational systems and the campaign of both union officials. They also discussed the future campaign policy and deepened bilateral relationships.
